Reporting to the Shift Leader/Store Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing excellent customer service to each and every customer by greeting customers, taking orders and guiding customers as they select their toppings all while paying close attention to speed, accuracy and the customer experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for greeting customers with enthusiasm and warmth and guiding them through the selection of their toppings and building orders using correct portions.
Grilling meats and vegetables ensuring proper temperature and stocking of salad and steam table.
Light prep work as required including chopping and slicing of materials.
Maintain accurate cash and perform all cash handling functions.
Maintain proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards while preparing food.
Ensure cleanliness of all areas of the restaurant and all duties related to cleaning, wiping, washing of dishes, sweeping and mopping.
Put away all deliveries and remove recycling and garbage.
Maintain equipment by fixing simple problems and reporting any required repairs to supervisor.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
Strong oral communication is required. Regular communication with customers to address their questions, comments, or resolve any complaints.
Basic problem solving skills specifically relating to addressing customer queries and maintaining of equipment.
Basic technical skills would be an asset when addressing equipment issues and basic numeric/mathematical skills are required.
Multi-tasking and handling customer requests within a fast-paced environment.
Listening and mental attentiveness in dealing with customer requests.
Working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure, performing repetitive tasks. A typical day consists of a combination of extended standing and walking with limited sitting.
