The Professional Services division of altisHR is actively seeking a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis for our large prestigious client located Downtown Toronto. The successful candidate will have 4+ years of experience of managerial experience, must have a university degree in a relevant field (Accounting or Finance) with either an MBA or professional accounting designation (CA, CGA or CMA

The incumbent will report to the Director and will be responsible for financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting of business strategies to improve overall financial performance and business processes of the organization.

This is a 12 â?" 14 months contract.

Role and Responsibilities

Manage, coach and mentor a small team of financial analysts to support business planning and operational improvement effortsServe as a business partner to senior leadership to support department-based initiatives that would require a business plan, Request for Proposals, PCOP submissions and mergers & acquisitions as requiredAnalyze and report on the monthly performance of organizational operations relative to its demands as well as budget and historical performancesLead the annual operating budget process and special projects related to funding and strategic initiativeDevelop variance reporting to deliver the monthly analysis and evaluation of financial performanceWith new funding formula, to identify opportunities to improve organizationâ?Ts financial performanceSuggest adjustments, accruals and supplemental accounting to the Controller as need arises through analysisQualifications and Experience

Completed university degree in a relevant field such as Accounting or Finance from a recognized educational institution coupled with MBA or professional accounting designation (CA/CMA/CGA/CPA)4+ years of managerial experience and at least 8 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysisExperience in extensive and complex financial analysis, financial planning, multi-entry modeling at a service oriented division or consolidated levelStrong business acumenAbility to lead change in processes through presentation of evidence based informationSuperior interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated experience leading the development and assessment of business plansProven ability to conduct comprehensive analysis of varied and complex initiatives leading to innovative and strategic business solutionsExcellent experience in Excel and SAP or other ERP systemsProven experience in project management, detail oriented and exceptional follow-throughAnalytically mindedEducation and Certifications

Minimum education required: Bachelor's Degree
