Based at Corporate Office, Mississauga, Ontario, the Manager, Sales Analytics under the direction of the Director Customer Solutions, this role will lead a team of 3-5 analysts that produce reports and insights for the effective management of the sales organization. This role will focus on:
·The oversight of data mining, KPI reporting, database designing, benchmarking, dashboard creation
·Developing relationships between different sources of data i.e. SFDC, BI, SAP, Qlikview etc. and sharing insights with Sales Leadership team, Managers and Sales Executives effectively enabling the Stakeholders to effectively manage Divisions, Regions and Territories. This would include specific Sales Operations, Management and Customer metrics.
·Provide day to day guidance and delegate work to the Reporting Analysts. Oversee outputs and review ad hoc report requests for the Directors, Managers, and Sales Executives.
·Using BI tools, Qlikview dashboards and SFDC data, as well as other market data sources as needed, the Manager ensures the integrity of the data, the design, and direction of the reports that are provided to the sales organization, ensuring that a wide range of analytics are available covering diverse scope, including sales operations and management, forecasting, sales performance and strategy.
·Qualifying ad hoc requests from Sales to understand the business purpose of the report, and then using business intelligence tools to meet the unique need, while ensuring the structure and availability of the report can be consistently provided across the divisions.
·Maintain and regulates the appropriate metrics, ensuring provided reports are both inclusive and representative across the Sales divisions
·Manage and own the production of monthly and quarterly business review reports, and attend meetings with the Leadership team as required to disseminate the insights, and to provide additional clarification. This may include the provision of Sales metrics with the collaboration of Sales Operations for Executive/Sales leadership reporting and Sales communications/planning.
·Oversee the distribution of reports to the required Sales members on the established schedule, and work with various Stakeholder groups to compile the needed information package and be available to attend the MBR and QBR meetings as required.
·Lead projects that are in support of sales initiatives that are data heavy, and require the compilation of various data sources and the manipulation of information for scenario building to determine insights, repercussions, direction appropriate recommendations
·Participate in meetings with Senior Leadership to ensure a full understanding of the project and to present the findings and obtain consensus.
·Establish the methodology and KPI’s for the products (reports) to increase reporting efficiency, and to find new value from standardized reports by recommending improvements to existing reports and assisting in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
·Facilitate continuous process improvement.
·Assist sales management in understanding process bottlenecks, inconsistencies and potential resolutions
·Develop benchmarks and KPIs to align with industry best practices, with flexibility to meet the unique needs of Purolator, and responsive to changing requirements in support of the Sales transformation
7-10 years’ demonstrated financial/analytical experience supporting Sales Initiatives and introducing best practices to Sales Organizations
Very strong critical thinking with the ability to understand the various data models and interrelationships between data sets. Effective at manipulating large datasets, summarizing data in a succinct way and analyzing results to draw key conclusions
Very strong technical skills with in depth knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, knowledge of database architecture, advanced Excel and Access, and other database platforms such as SQL
Excellent communication skills - the ability to adapt messages appropriately for different audiences and translate complex and theoretical ideas into tangible realities
Experience in the creation and presentation of recommendations of various reports and reporting indices to Senior Leadership
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business or Statistics, with a focus on Technology. Statistics/Economics knowledge is required; some Computer Science coursework would be an asset
Knowledge of key business indicators and management metrics, with an analytical mindset / skills are key
Skilled at building/maintaining relationships with superior interpersonal skills that will create effective interaction with Senior Leadership
